Cumbernauld needs you!

We have strongly resisted the urge to stick any photos of Uncle Sam or Lord Kitchener up on this item but it wasn’t easy!  However the Trust really does need your help.  Although we have hundreds following us on Twitter and thousands on Facebook when we go for funding a number of the major funders would prefer us to have a more formal membership scheme which would require people to actually sign up formally for the group.

So today we’re launching our new membership scheme!  Our Charter Membership scheme will be open to anyone to join (and is free!!).  We will have separate voting rights for Cumbernauld residents to fulfill the funding criteria required by the likes of the Big lottery fund etc.  We need at least 100 members from the local area to fill in our form and pledge their support.

The charter scheme is only open for a short while so we need people to sign up fast.  Those local people who do sign up will be kept up to date with the trust work and will also have voting rights at our AGM or any EGM’s.  What we will also offer for all the charter members is a place in the history of the trust and the town.  When we finally open the school we will commemorate these charter members (local or not) in some way either in the school or in printed form.  So when the trust is huge in 100 years time your name will be associated with that work and your passion for the community will be shown for generations to come.

If that’s not an incentive I don’t know what is!!

If you are not in the local area but still wish to join please do still fill in the form and we’ll keep you up to date with the work of the trust and will include you in any special invites etc for events and other items.

Please do share this page with your friends and family.  The future of the village school relies on your help.

All you need to do is click on the link at the top of the page and fill in your details.  We promise not to pass your details onto any third parties and will use these details purely for the work of Cumbernauld House Trust.
